Sixth Form

Ages 16+

As a Sixth Form our aim is simple; to ensure that every student is hugely successful during their two years of study. We do not define the word success as simply the grades you receive at the end of Year 13. We want you to be successful academically, socially, personally and morally in order to fully prepare you for your next steps, whether that be an outstanding University or College, high quality apprenticeship or the workplace.

The quality of teaching you will receive is amazing, as is the pastoral support we offer. Teachers at St Peter’s are always happy to give up their time to help you with your studies and our tailored tutor programme is a standout feature of the Sixth Form, giving you structured support in accessing your post-18 adventure!

The range of opportunities on offer are phenomenal and give you the chance to try something new or build on past successes in areas of interest. Whether it be joining the Sixth Form football team and looking to retain the silverware won last season, taking on a role in our famous productions, working in the courtroom in New York (Bar Mock) or raising money for one of our charities – there will be something for you to get involved with and enhance your time at St Peter’s even further.

Being a Catholic school allows us to focus on you, the student, as an individual. We don’t require you to be a practicing Catholic to join our Sixth Form, but we ask that you respect each other’s beliefs and immerse yourself in our mission: to become the best we can be.

All the very best

James  Wilder, Head of Sixth Form
