Behaviour
St Peter’s is a school where relationships between staff and students are excellent. We work closely with each and every student, with a real focus on your progress and aspirations. We aim to treat you with respect, and to help you get the most from your time with us.
We expect you to show respect, courtesy and consideration to all school staff, regardless of their role, and just as importantly, to your fellow students. You must understand that all staff have authority whether they are teaching or support staff.
We are surrounded by residential areas, and ask you to be considerate about how you conduct yourself beyond the school environment. We ask you not to smoke in the approaches to the school site. We also ask you not to sit on neighbours’ walls or in their driveways, and to put all litter in bins.
You are a role model for younger students whether you are aware of it or not. Therefore, your use of language and behaviour needs to reflect the highest standards.
You are here to work towards success and undertake to fulfil all work requirements directed by your teachers. We will take poor attitude or behaviour very seriously, and will take steps to ensure that such instances do not occur again. We operate a strict drugs and alcohol policy, details of which can be found on our School Policies page.
