Celebrating our Founder

Last week we particularly remembered our Founder, St John Baptiste de la Salle, as Lasallian schools around the world celebrated “Founder’s Day”. Last Friday our Lasallian Leaders took part in an online Founder’s Day celebration on Zoom which brought together schools from across our region of Great Britain, Ireland and Malta. It was wonderful to come together as part of the worldwide Lasallian community and gather, reflect and pray, as one.

Ten of our students who completed their Bronze Lasallian Award this year were particularly keen to hear the results of the regional prize draw that they were all entered in to and although no one from St Peter’s won the regional top prize it was wonderful to be able to offer them the chance of winning an Amazon voucher in the St Peter’s Award draw – congratulations to Beth in Year 7 who won!  Everyone who completed their Award received an Award certificate which was presented to them on Friday by Mr Doyle and one of our Governors, Mr Allen; they will also be receiving a coveted lapel badge soon.  Well done to all of them for gaining their Bronze Award, and we look forward to more students being able to do the same next year.
