Congratulations to Year 11 student, Ibby, who recently won the Carnival of Alternative Politics – a public speaking competition for local 16–18 year olds.
Our Year 10 Food Preparation students have been developing impressive life skills in the kitchen. After learning how to expertly portion a whole chicken, they transformed it into multiple meals — jerk chicken from the limbs, a rich homemade stock from the carcass, and chicken breasts saved and frozen for a curry the following week.
What a brilliant day at the netball tournament – even in the rain.
World Book Day tokens are being distributed to each student this week.
As the Six Nations gets underway, our Year 8 boys have been putting in the hours on the training pitch and refusing to let the terrible weather dampen their spirits.
The recent St Peter’s French and Food Technology trip to Paris offered students a rich and memorable programme of cultural, linguistic and educational experiences. The itinerary included visits to iconic landmarks such as Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, Montparnasse Tower and the Louvre, as well as a relaxing river cruise along the Seine.
We have a treat in store for our students at Southbourne on Monday 9 February, as Caterlink's Area Development chef, Nick Farley, visits us to help celebrate National Pizza Day!
