Last Thursday saw Secondary participating in the annual sports day. Students competed in athletics as well as football, netball, basketball, volleyball, tug of war, indoor rowing and dance. The weather was good and the atmosphere was excellent. The day was a real success, with students competing hard but with a real sense of inclusivity and sportsmanship.
A big shout out to all the students who took part in the Town Sports last week. Some great personal performances and exciting relay finals. Excellent attitude and team moral throughout the day.
This year, we had another strong cohort of students who took up the challenge of completing their Bronze and Silver DofE Awards. The award strives to empower young people; to support them as they learn new skills, overcome obstacles and build confidence and resilience – our students clearly demonstrated this!
