Retirement careers event

Last Thursday, Subject Lead for Health & Social Care, Sarah Ellis hosted a careers event to mark her retirement from St Peter's. Many attended the event at school which saw Health & Social Care professionals enjoy canapés and share their experiences with current students. Many who came were past students of Sarah's, spanning three decades of teaching in the Health and Social Care department.

Sue Pritchard, former head of subject and other former health and social care staff, including Steve Ellis and Jade Tharme attended along with Sally Turner-Green who will take over as subject leader in September.

Many professions were represented. Many nurses, occupational therapists, probation workers, primary teachers and even midwife, Megan Harris with her five-week-old baby, Imogen. Sarah also welcomed back student physio, Ellie Pardy and two Psychology students, Evie Battistini, who has just graduated with a first class degree and Monah Diegues who has completed one year of Psychology at Southampton.

Special thanks go to those attendees who have contributed regularly to the department and who are not past students: Sophie Manners, Felicity Bath and Kate Crowther.
