Mental Health Awareness Week

This year’s theme, for Mental Health Awareness week, is anxiety.  Many of us can experience feelings of anxiety at times in our lives, for different reasons. It’s a normal emotion yet feels different for everyone. For many children and young people, pressure during exam season can lead to feelings of anxiety and stress, which can be challenging for their mental health.

To support children and young people who are approaching exams, we want to highlight the wide range of tools, resources, and mental health support available in Dorset.

Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to face it alone.

Exam season can be a challenging time for young people and can bring with it so many different emotions. If you have a child or young person who’s feeling stressed or anxious about their exams, remind them that it’s OK to feel this way – and it’s OK to ask for help.

This shareable graphic signposts young people to a range of support. Simply screenshotting this graphic & sharing it with family, friends and WhatsApp groups is a great way to help someone find the right services at the right time.
