Year 9 student, Antoni and his dance partner, Sofia, had the honour of representing Great Britain as part of Team GB 2025 in the Ballroom section of this prestigious Team Match event, held in the iconic Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens, Blackpool.
This was the last of the rugby tournaments for this year, having been postponed earlier in the term because of poor weather. This could not have been more different – bright sunshine and blue skies but also hot games on hard ground!

Our Southbourne Library is running an Easter competition for Years 7-11.
Year 7 student, Vincent, produced some fantastic work for his Religious Education homework, so much so that it is on display in our Southbourne reception area, for all to see and enjoy. His 3D creation, called the Trinity, depicts the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The girls qualified for the U13 football County Finals in Hamworthy on Friday. They came 3rd in their pool, only losing out to a semi-final place by goal difference.
The Year 7 boys rugby team played in a 12 try extravaganza against Twynham school last week. It was a great game of rugby, supported by plenty of parents and the rugby played for their entertainment did not disappoint.
The Year 8 boys rugby team recently took part in the Dorset County 7’s at Swanage and Wareham RFC.
The secondary library celebrated World Book Day with a Roald Dahl theme last week. The day started with over forty students from Year 8 and Sixth Form taking part in their weekly reading mentoring session in the library.
The Friday before half term was an early start for 52 Year 11 History students and 5 members of staff, who set off at 3.30am in the dark on a coach bound for Dover ready to embark on a three day tour of WWI sites in Belgium and France.
Secondary students are invited to come along to the library at lunchtime on Thursday 6 March to take part in activities to celebrate World Book Day.
