Hospitality Connect Scheme

We are delighted to announce that St Peter’s Catholic School has joined the Hospitality Connect scheme — a pioneering partnership model that originated in Manchester and is now expanding across the UK.
This exciting project encourages individual hotels to partner with secondary schools, helping to bring careers education to life. It offers students practical group experiences in the workplace and enriches the curriculum, particularly for Food Technology, Business Studies, and Travel & Tourism.
We are very pleased to share that St Peter’s has been partnered with the Marsham Court Hotel, a flagship hotel owned and run by the remarkable Rosie Radwell and her brother James Dixon-Box. Rosie is an award-winning hotelier with a strong reputation in the hospitality industry and currently serves as the elected Chair of the Bournemouth Area Hospitality Association (BAHA).
Benefits for St Peter’s include:
-
A meaningful employer partnership with a commitment to at least six engagements with the school throughout the academic year, beginning with a speed networking event at the hotel in the new academic year.
-
‘Hotel Takeover’ days for FNP students featuring activities such as speed bed making, afternoon tea events, and visits from chefs.
-
Strong links with the local Further Education college, providing pathways into hospitality, travel & tourism, and management, alongside project management guidance.
-
A long-term, formal employer partner to support students’ progression into local employment opportunities.
Mr Downs, Mrs Hartley, and Mrs Norrish recently attended the introductory session and the BAHA awards ceremony to collaborate and plan the year ahead with the Hospitality Connect team.
We look forward to kicking off this partnership with a shared Food and Business trip to The Marsham Court Hotel for the speed networking event in November.
