Schools across the region were recently set the challenge of designing a logo for this year’s “Women In Engineering” event taking place at RNLI Poole.
The Carnegies are the UK’s longest running and best-loved children’s book awards, recognising outstanding reading experiences created through writing and illustration in books for children and young people.
Last week, a few of the Year 9 students demoed cheese and onion pasties, they then served them to the rest of the class.
Throughout the month of May, the Library ran a competition to see which tutor group in Years 7 to 9 could collect the most ‘Caught You Reading’ achievement points.
We were thrilled to be joined by James Golding, Chef director of the Pig group this week. James demoed a range of dishes to the students, explaining different flavours and talking them through all the fresh produce, including herbs and many ingredients grown in the walled garden at the pig.

A group of Year 10 girls have been taking part in a 6 week 'Girls Get Strong' programme after school at Littledown.
Last week we particularly remembered our Founder, St John Baptiste de la Salle, as Lasallian schools around the world celebrated “Founder’s Day”. Last Friday our Lasallian Leaders took part in an online Founder’s Day celebration on Zoom which brought together schools from across our region of Great Britain, Ireland and Malta. It was wonderful to come together as part of the worldwide Lasallian community and gather, reflect and pray, as one.
Our Bar Mock team visited the Royal Courts of Justice, in London to take part in the Bar Mock Nationals. Here Amelia in Year 10 reflects on the experience.
