As the Easter holiday draws near, it’s the perfect time to unwind with a good book. Why not visit St Peter’s School Library and explore some of our exciting new arrivals?

This year, Craft Club has been a busy and resounding success. Thirty students have enjoyed the opportunity to stay after school on Wednesdays with Miss Witherington, exploring their creativity and making a wide variety of crafts.

We’re excited to be welcoming author Heather Davey to the secondary library on Tuesday 24 March at 1:45pm.

Students at St Peter’s are invited to take part in the exciting Carnegie Medal Shadowing Scheme 2026, an annual reading event celebrating some of the best new books written for young people. The Carnegie Medal is awarded each year to the author of an outstanding book for children and young adults.

Last week, the Year 8 rugby team took part in the Dorset and Wilts Rugby Tournament, held at Swanage and Wareham RFC. The boys played brilliantly and produced some excellent rugby, although they sometimes struggled to fully put into practice what they have been working on in training.

Students from Years 7–10 enjoyed a fantastic afternoon at the Dorset Schools Cross Country Championships. Despite the muddy conditions, spirits were high and the team showed great determination throughout!
