We are pleased to inform parents and carers that Year 9 teenage immunisations will be offered at school 23/24 April to help protect your child. These vaccinations are free from the NHS.
This year, Craft Club has been a busy and resounding success. Thirty students have enjoyed the opportunity to stay after school on Wednesdays with Miss Witherington, exploring their creativity and making a wide variety of crafts.
St Peter’s Secondary Library is running an Egg-citing Easter Competition, and all students are invited to take part! Your challenge is to design a book-related Easter card. You can base your design on a favourite book, character, or story. Templates are available from the library to help you get started.

Our U12 and U13 B & C Netball teams were in action this week in friendly fixtures against The Grange. It was a tough set of games, but a fantastic experience for our girls.
Students at St Peter’s are invited to take part in the exciting Carnegie Medal Shadowing Scheme 2026, an annual reading event celebrating some of the best new books written for young people. The Carnegie Medal is awarded each year to the author of an outstanding book for children and young adults.
The Secondary library celebrated World Book Day this year with a Harry Potter theme. The day started with over 40 students from Years 7, 8 and Sixth Form taking part in their weekly reading mentoring session in the library.
Last week, the Year 8 rugby team took part in the Dorset and Wilts Rugby Tournament, held at Swanage and Wareham RFC. The boys played brilliantly and produced some excellent rugby, although they sometimes struggled to fully put into practice what they have been working on in training.
Huge congratulations to our amazing U13 Netball Team on finishing runners-up in their pool and achieving an incredible 4th place overall in the county competition!
Students from Years 7–10 enjoyed a fantastic afternoon at the Dorset Schools Cross Country Championships. Despite the muddy conditions, spirits were high and the team showed great determination throughout!
