Our Year 10 students have be practising their crème patisserie skills this week. They are looking ahead to Year 11 and perfecting patè sucre, piping, using eggs to set custards and creating glazes.

Year 9 students and Year 12 Textiles students have been busy making poppies, which are currently on sale in our Southbourne reception, to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
Our Year 10 Food Technology students are off to Bournemouth & Poole college on Friday and I think they have been buttering me up, so that they can go!
The inspiration for this performance comes from the difficult time Year 7 have had over the last few years, and the start of a new school. There is proof that singing together relieves stress and can help communities bond.
Secondary Homework Club, everyone welcome
On Wednesday 19 October (5.30-8pm), St Peter’s will be hosting a careers event to help inform parents and students of the important factors to consider when planning the next stage of their career route.
Starting Monday 10 October, Caterlink, our caterers are inviting all Secondary and Sixth Form students to grab a free bowl of porridge plus a free topping. Visit the canteen before school for your winter warmer!

We have been incredibly lucky to welcome Maggie the Seaside Baker to St Peter’s. Maggie spent the day answering questions from students and staff. She worked with Year 9 making quiches, giving advice and making Jambalaya with Year 8. The kids were thrilled to have her in school.
Congratulations to Mariah, Year 10 (Intermediate girls hammer)and Abi, Year 12 (Senior girls 400m) who, following this weekend's Dorset Schools Athletics Championships, have qualified to represent Dorset Schools in the South West Schools’ Athletics Championships to be held in Exeter on Saturday 18 June.
On Thursday 26 May the Year 7 and 8 athletics teams took on Twynham school in what is always affectionately known as ‘The Battle of the Bridge’.
