Last week we particularly remembered our Founder, St John Baptiste de la Salle, as Lasallian schools around the world celebrated “Founder’s Day”. Last Friday our Lasallian Leaders took part in an online Founder’s Day celebration on Zoom which brought together schools from across our region of Great Britain, Ireland and Malta. It was wonderful to come together as part of the worldwide Lasallian community and gather, reflect and pray, as one.
Our Bar Mock team visited the Royal Courts of Justice, in London to take part in the Bar Mock Nationals. Here Amelia in Year 10 reflects on the experience.
The students in Nurture have been researching the Coronation Ceremony values and its symbols. We also received some lovely resources from Living Paintings for our visually impaired students to use.
Year 11 made the most of our local surroundings with a change of scenery for PE last week. Their Friday afternoon lesson, a choice of either a game of rounders or a walk, was at the beach.

At the end of March the Bournemouth Schools FA team won their semi-final against Kent, putting them through to the National Schools FA final.
Our Year 8 Girls Football team, who at the end of February won the Bournemouth/Christchurch schools 7 a side tournament qualifying to represent the town at the county finals, went on to win the bronze medal at the Dorset 7 a side final this week.
On Friday ex star-student and soon-to-be doctor, Alex Carver, came to speak to the current members of the Medic Mentors group to take questions about his experience of Medical School and to do an exercise of case-based learning to teach them the basics of taking a patient history.
Year 9 boys took part in the county seven a side rugby tournament this week at Lytchet RFC. Sixteen teams competed this year and from the very first game the boys got better and better.
After a break in the season, due to the light and weather, it was Year 9's first netball match in a while.
