Craft Club: A Creative Success

This year, Craft Club has been a busy and resounding success. Thirty students have enjoyed the opportunity to stay after school on Wednesdays with Miss Witherington, exploring their creativity and making a wide variety of crafts.

Their creations have included tote bags, positive rocks, coasters, Mother’s Day cards, bookmarks, and everyone’s favourite – ceramic pots, in which they planted either padrón peppers or moneymaker tomatoes.

Craft Club would like to extend its sincere thanks to the PTA for providing the funding that has enabled the club to continue this year, as well as to Mrs Bennett for organising the sign-up process.

Miss Witherington reflected on the success of the club this year:

It has been wonderful to see students staying after school on Wednesdays to explore their creativity, try new ideas, and make things they are proud to take home. Craft Club has such a positive atmosphere, with students chatting with their friends, listening to music, and enjoying the process of creating together. I would like to say a huge well done to all the students who have taken part this year — they have been fantastic. They have contributed so much to the Art Department, and it has been lovely to see other members of staff popping in to see what they are creating. It has truly been amazing, and I can’t wait to see what we create next term!
