Rugby Success for Year 8
Last week, the Year 8 rugby team took part in the Dorset and Wilts Rugby Tournament, held at Swanage and Wareham RFC. The boys played brilliantly and produced some excellent rugby, although they sometimes struggled to fully put into practice what they have been working on in training.
Despite this, they won their pool and progressed into the group of top seeds. Unfortunately, at this stage, the team collectively made some tactical errors, and the opportunity to win the tournament slipped away. Nevertheless, they demonstrated fantastic character and determination to win the 3rd/4th place playoff, finishing 3rd overall out of 14 schools.
Considering that last year they finished last in their pool, the team has made tremendous progress. I am incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
