A Rising Star in the Kitchen
Huge congratulations to Joseph in Year 10, for reaching the final of Dorset Junior Chef of the Year and the semi-final of Southwest Junior Chef of the Year 2025 to be held at Weymouth College on Thursday 3 July.
Joseph's food will be judged by Ben Champkin - Chef Patron, Catch At The Old Fish Market, Weymouth and Alan Kelly - Chef lecturer, Weymouth College.
The finalists' dishes will be judged on preparation and cookery skills, demonstration of an understanding of hygiene and food safety issues, use and knowledge of regional produce and the overall presentation and flavour of their dishes.
We wish our very talented chef luck! He is always meticulously planned, with so many high-level skills up his sleeve, he is such a strong contender for the title!
