SOBO Culinary Institute

We’re delighted to be working with former students James Golding and James Fowler, who have recently launched the SOBO Culinary Institute. The initiative will give young people and passionate foodies the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food industry from experienced chefs and industry professionals.
James Golding is an acclaimed British chef whose career has been defined by a passion for exceptional ingredients, sustainable sourcing and culinary excellence. He is known to many through his appearances on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. James Fowler is the founder and creative force behind The Larder House in Southbourne. Together, they co-own The Larder House, bringing their combined experience, creativity and passion for food to the restaurant.
Over the coming months, they will be bringing a variety of celebrity chefs and food-industry professionals to the Culinary Institute. Tuesday evening sessions will be aimed specifically at teenagers, providing a fantastic opportunity to meet people working in the industry, learn from them and gain a real insight into the world of food and hospitality.
We’re really excited about this partnership and the opportunities it could create for our students. It’s a fantastic chance for young people with a passion for food to meet industry professionals, gain experience and discover where their interest in food could take them.
On Wednesday 16 September, 7pm, they are hosting an evening with Phil Vickery, giving young food enthusiasts the chance to learn from and engage with another well-known name in the industry. For more information, please see thelarderhouse.com
